All qualified neutrals providing facilitative or hybrid services in civil, non-family matters, must have received the state minimum requirement of classroom training, with an emphasis on experiential learning.

To be qualified as a Visitation Expeditor (Parenting Time Expeditor) a qualified neutral must complete additional training in family law and domestic abuse among other specialized topics There is also a requirement for annual continuing education for qualified neutrals.

Except as ordered by a judge, exchanges and communications relating to ADR proceedings with a qualified neutral are NOT admissible in court or subject to discovery.

The proceedings are confidential. Neutrals are trained to facilitate dialog and help parties potentially reach settlement in any civil dispute.
